Financial Assistance When It Matters Most
A cancer diagnosis does not just affect your health. It affects your ability to pay bills, get to appointments, feed your family, and keep the lights on. Many patients face impossible choices between treatment and basic needs.
Chix 4 A Cause provides direct financial assistance to cancer patients in Washington, Ozaukee, Waukesha, and surrounding counties. Because we are 100% volunteer-run, every dollar donated goes to helping patients. There are no salaries, no administrative overhead, and no middlemen.
What We Cover
We help with the real, everyday costs that pile up during cancer treatment:
- Medical copays, deductibles, and prescription costs
- Transportation to and from treatment facilities
- Groceries and household essentials
- Utility bills (electric, gas, water) during treatment
- Childcare costs while a parent is in treatment
- Rent or mortgage assistance in critical situations
Every situation is different. We work directly with patients and families to understand their needs and provide help where it will make the most difference.
Emotional Support
Financial help is critical, but it is not the only thing people need during cancer treatment. Isolation, fear, and uncertainty can be just as overwhelming as the medical bills.
Our volunteer network provides a human connection. We check in on patients, help connect them with resources, and make sure they know that their community is behind them. Sometimes the most important thing is knowing that someone is paying attention.
