Our Story
Chix 4 A Cause was founded in West Bend, Wisconsin by a group of women who saw firsthand how a cancer diagnosis can devastate a family financially. They knew their community could do better, so they organized.
What started as a small group of friends raising money for neighbors in need has grown into a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving cancer patients across Southeastern Wisconsin. The mission has never changed: get money directly to patients who need it, with no red tape and no overhead.
We remain 100% volunteer-run. Nobody at Chix 4 A Cause takes a salary. Every dollar donated goes to patient assistance. That is not a slogan. It is how we operate.
Our Mission
Chix 4 A Cause exists to provide financial assistance and emotional support for people battling cancer in Southeastern Wisconsin. We help with the real, everyday costs that insurance does not cover and that patients cannot afford during treatment.
We believe that no one should have to choose between fighting cancer and paying their bills. Our goal is simple: lighten the financial burden so patients can focus on getting better.

How We Are Different
Large cancer charities serve an important purpose, but they often come with large administrative costs. Chix 4 A Cause is different. We are small, local, and lean. Our volunteers know the communities we serve. We can respond quickly to individual needs without layers of bureaucracy.
When you donate to Chix 4 A Cause, your money goes directly to a cancer patient in your community. It might pay for a month of groceries, cover a utility bill, or help someone get to their chemotherapy appointments. It is direct, it is personal, and it makes a real difference.

Chix 4 A Cause is based in West Bend, Wisconsin and serves cancer patients across Southeastern Wisconsin, including Washington County, Ozaukee County, Waukesha County, and surrounding areas. We do not turn people away based on where they live within the region.
